Terms & Conditions

1. General Use
Digital gift cards may be used for purchases online through our website or in-store at our physical location. Physical gift cards are valid for in-store use only and cannot be redeemed online. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash and cannot be used to purchase other gift cards, except as required by law.

2. Expiration and Fees
Gift cards do not expire and are free from maintenance, activation, or service fees. However, we reserve the right to modify this policy with prior notice, as required by law.

3. Redemption
Digital gift cards can be redeemed online by entering the gift card ID at checkout, or in-store by presenting either the gift card ID or the barcode from the email to a store attendant. Physical gift cards must be presented at the time of purchase in-store only. Any remaining balance after a purchase will stay on the card for future use.

4. Delivery
Digital gift cards are delivered electronically via email to the recipient immediately after purchase. Please ensure the recipient’s email address is entered correctly, as we are not responsible for undelivered or misdirected cards due to incorrect information.

5. Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Cards
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged gift cards—digital or physical. Gift cards should be treated like cash. Unauthorized use will not be refunded or replaced.

6. Refunds and Exchanges
Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except where required by law. Any refunds or returns for purchases made with a gift card will be subject to the return policy of the store where the purchase was made.

7. Balance and Transaction History
You can check the balance and transaction history of your gift card by calling the store directly. A store representative will assist you with any questions related to your card.

8. Fraud and Abuse
We reserve the right to deactivate, reject, or cancel any gift card—digital or physical—if we suspect fraud, abuse, or a violation of these terms. Legal action may be taken where applicable.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions
We may update these terms and conditions at any time. Any updates will be posted on our website and will apply to all current and future gift card use.

Substitution Policy

At A Ray of Sunshine Floral, each arrangement is created using fresh, seasonal blooms and designed with care. While we make every effort to replicate the style shown, exact flower varieties, colors, or containers cannot always be guaranteed due to availability and quality standards.

We reserve the right to make substitutions as needed.

When this happens, the overall style, color palette, and feel of the arrangement will be maintained. Any substitutions will always be of equal or greater value and chosen to preserve the integrity of the design.

Specific flowers, vases, or design elements are not guaranteed unless confirmed in advance. If there are details that are especially important to you, please include them at checkout or contact us prior to placing your order to verify availability.

By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept that substitutions may be necessary to ensure the freshest and highest-quality result.

Delivery Policy

We offer local delivery throughout Hilliard and surrounding Columbus areas. Delivery availability and fees are based on distance and calculated at checkout.

Same-day delivery is available for orders placed before our daily cutoff time. Orders placed after the cutoff will be delivered the next available delivery day. During holidays or high-volume periods, delivery windows may be extended.

Requested delivery times are not guaranteed. All orders are delivered within a general route-based window.

It is the customer’s responsibility to provide complete and accurate delivery information. We are not responsible for delays or failed deliveries due to incorrect addresses, missing details, restricted access, or recipient unavailability.

To protect the quality of the arrangement, we may attempt to contact the recipient (when appropriate) to confirm availability, especially during extreme temperatures. If the recipient cannot be reached or is unavailable, we may leave the delivery in a safe, weather-appropriate location at our discretion.

If we determine that leaving the arrangement would compromise its quality or safety, the order will be returned to the shop and redelivery will require an additional delivery fee.

Once an arrangement is delivered, or left at the delivery location, we are not responsible for damage, theft, or environmental exposure.

Orders that cannot be completed due to incorrect information or recipient unavailability are not eligible for refunds. Redelivery or address changes after dispatch may incur additional fees.

For deliveries to hospitals, funeral homes, or businesses, we will coordinate with staff when possible, but are not responsible for delays, refusals, or handling after delivery.

Refund Policy

Due to the perishable nature of flowers, we do not accept returns once an arrangement has been delivered.

If there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with a photo and description so we can review it. We will make every reasonable effort to address quality concerns, which may include a replacement or shop credit at our discretion.

Refunds are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We do not offer refunds for issues related to incorrect delivery information, recipient unavailability, or conditions outside of our control after delivery.

If a refund is approved, it will be processed to the original form of payment. Please allow 5–10 business days for it to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.
